A quiet path through story, nature, and reflection... where presence deepens, and the unseen softly speaks.

Come discover more about me, Erick Rook, creator, seeker, and guide- and the Zen-inspired vision behind Wild Roots Society: a world where art, nature, and mindfulness weave together.

Welcome.

I’m Erick- a storyteller and guide walking the quieter trails where reflection and nature meet. Wild Roots Society isn’t a place of answers, but of invitations. Invitations to pause. To listen. To feel the earth beneath your feet again- and maybe, rediscover a forgotten part of yourself.

About My Path

Throughout life, I’ve felt drawn to life’s more subtle rhythms: the hush of Sedona’s trails at dawn… the breath of mindful movement… the poetry of a blank journal.

This path has been shaped by Zen insights (Stanford Zen Entry) , martial arts, creative writing, and the wisdom of nature itself. Over time, I’ve learned that true guidance doesn’t shout- it arrives in stillness, in silence, in the stories beneath our surface.

Why Wild Roots Society?

Wild Roots is a living offering. It’s not a retreat or a performance. It’s a space-sometimes on a trail, sometimes on a screen-where story, movement, and art come together as invitations into presence.

Whether through film, journal reflections, or embodied workshops, I share what continues to guide me: slow down. Listen inwardly. Let nature become a mirror.

A Quiet Tribute

This work is also a tribute to my grandfather- a wonderful soul who wrote fairy tales in calligraphy and read them to children at the library. I follow his lead in spirit, crafting spaces where stories and art can stir remembrance: of self, of mystery, of belonging.

An Invitation

Thank you for being here. However you explore- through film, journal pages, or mindful steps on your own path- may these offerings serve as quiet companions as you return to your wild roots.
