Nature's Call Back

My journey hasn’t always been rooted in nature.
I spent years exploring other trails—screenwriting, filmmaking, drawing, writing short stories, and later, meditation and martial arts.

Nature called me back slowly.
Not as a sudden awakening, but as a quiet pull—one I didn’t fully understand until a short time before life guided me to Sedona.

My grandfather once shared his calligraphy practice with me as a child, letting me practice and learn the art.

At the time, I didn’t realize the depth of what seeds he was planting.
It would take years—decades, even—for those seeds to grow.

Over time, all of my life experiences began to weave together:
The stillness of meditation, the discipline of martial movement, the creativity of storytelling, the beauty of visual art.
Eventually, these threads circled back, and what emerged was not a return to one thing—but a fusion of all of them.

That’s where the evolution of Wild Roots Society came to be.
Not from a single moment—but from a lifetime of quiet echoes coming home.

This work is a quiet nod to my grandfather,
whose creative mind and inked calligraphy told stories I’m still listening to.
His legacy inspires me through every line I draw, every step I film, every whisper I share.

And it is an honor to do this work on the sacred land of Sedona, whose breathtaking trails are cared for by the dedicated volunteers of the Sedona Red Rock Trail Fund.
