Why Wild Roots exists

Wild Roots Society grew slowly through years of walking, observation, filmmaking, writing, and time spent in nature.

It wasn’t built around a business plan.

It emerged through paying attention.

I didn’t create it to teach people how to experience the world.

I created it as an invitation to observe more deeply, breathe more slowly, and discover what already resonates within us.

Stillness is not the absence of story. It is the presence of meaning.

What is Leaf and Light?

Leaf & Light is a living journal that invites us to slow down, observe more deeply, and notice what already resonates within us.

Each entry combines imagery, breath, story, and observation into a quiet experience.

Rather than telling you what an image means, each journal invites you to notice what naturally draws your attention.

A downloadable Companion accompanies every journal, providing space for your own reflections after watching.

Creating a visual memory— when you aren't looking anymore, you are remembering.
